Day 171

Yes, today is day 171 of officially making progress on my book (series).

If you’re reading this, you’ve probably already seen my blurbs about Books 1–3. This space is going to be my landing spot — the place where I share how the writing, editing, and designing are going. I originally planned to just sprinkle a few book updates into my normal blog posts, but I decided to try giving them their own home. We’ll see how far I get.

These posts will be sporadic and unpredictable. I might post five times in a month and then go quiet for three. Who knows.

I guess I should start by introducing Alex Ward.

Here are a few basics:

• Born in: Northfield MN

• Parents: Corin and Amara Ward

• Sister: Sage Ward

Alex thinks fast on her feet and adapts quickly to whatever’s thrown at her. She can be quiet when she wants to be and, nine times out of ten, has no trouble slipping under the radar.

She’s quick on her feet in more ways than one. With a talent for bending rules to her advantage and slipping just under the radar, she’s always fighting to keep her own sense of control. People can try to dictate her actions — and some do — but they’ll never touch her thoughts. Alex holds onto that. They can corner her, redirect her, even force her hand — but her thoughts are the one place no one will ever reach.

I’ll share more eventually. Probably. We’ll see how cooperative my brain decides to be.
